PhysicsX (opens in a new tab) is transforming how engineers design, test, and operate complex systems and machines, replacing traditional numerical simulation with AI-powered inference to dramatically accelerate product development.
Running detailed numerical simulations to predict physical behavior typically demands significant time and resources. However, it’s critical for engineers building anything from planes and electric cars to semiconductors and consumer electronics solutions.
PhysicsX collaborated with AWS to create an enterprise AI platform that drastically accelerates this process and enables a more efficient path from digital design to real-world performance. It’s allowing engineers to run simulations at speed and scale, and to test and optimize designs more cost-effectively.

Built on the AWS cloud, the PhysicsX platform replaces traditional numerical simulation with high-performing physics-based AI foundation models, powered by AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, with models trained using AWS Batch. The startup was able to easily and cost-effectively access the AWS services through AWS Activate, the AWS Generative AI Accelerator (opens in a new tab), and the Clean Energy Accelerator (opens in a new tab), allowing it to develop and scale its platform and model training infrastructure, and reach more customers as a result.
Organizations in sectors spanning automotive, aerospace & defense, materials, semiconductors, and energy, can now address some of the most complex challenges in engineering, using the platform to maximize performance and compress traditional development timelines.
